Watches follow and adapt to fashion just like all the other accessories on the market do and this year they have nearly all been sprinkled with crystals and diamond-like stones.
The ladies watch used to be very small, sometimes so small that you could hardly read the time, but thankfully they are much bigger now (still not as big as a man’s watch though) and having a larger face means that more decorating can be done to them.
There are some very nice ones around that have each hour marked by a tiny diamond (not often real) and then more diamonds encrusted around the rim of the watch. These are often with a black face and a black leather or patent wrist strap or you can find them in white as well.
One of the latest watches is the one that doesn’t tell you the time, well it does in that the minute and hour hand move as they should but all the twelve numbers have all been mixed up all over the face of the watch. New ideas always have to be different!
There was a time when it was the in-thing to be able to afford one of the better watches such as Rolex, Cartier or Jaeger-LeCoultre but at the end of the day these watches cost a bomb and really don’t keep time very much better than any of the cheaper models on the market. They also fall into the trap that they prefer to remain with their old classical models and so if you want to keep up with fashion these are not for you. Women who like and enjoy fashion don’t want to keep any fashion accessory for ever as one they get bored and secondly they want to change with the times but I don’t think that it is viable to keep chopping and changing with the prices of these particular watches.
